After having experienced varying forms of lockdown and isolation in the early stages of Covid, many of our work spaces and creative spaces shifted to virtual spaces, domestic spaces, and improvised spaces, with materials and content being mined from our daily lives and our immediate natural and built landscapes. The LESS project celebrates this awakening with a workshop series that honors the lessons learned from these shifts-- dismantling the notion that art must be born in studios, supported by institutions, and reliant on industrial and specialized equipment, and continuing the beautiful ingenuity of finding connection across physical distance.
